If you have never heard of Dubai, UAE based billionaire entrepreneur and property developer, Hussain Sajwani, he’s currently one of the leading Middle Eastern names in the real estate game today. Early during childhood, Hussain Sajwani watched his father work extremely hard building a successful Chinese imports business in Dubai. His father specialized in selling premium ink pens, t-shirts, luxury watches, shoes, and many other goods around the country. Having witnessed his father develop a reputation as a successful businessman, Hussain Sajwani decided to follow the same path to success, however, he chose a different industry.
Armed with a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial engineering from the prestigious University of Washington, Mr. Sajwani started his own company in 2002 called DAMAC Properties. It should be noted that Hussain Sajwani was one of the only residents of Dubai to ever acquire an academic scholarship to attend UW, where he graduated with honors. Standing firmly at the helm of a company that he founded, Mr. Sajwani slowly built up a portfolio that features some of the most prestigious real estate developments in all of Dubai. Some of these renowned projects include DAMAC Hills, Trump International Golf Club Dubai, Vista Lux, AKOYA Oxygen, and even the Dubai Rainforest. Out of all of these projects, the most stand out development project is the DAMAC Hills, a massive 42 million square foot chunk of real estate that is home to beautiful mansions, modern villas, cute townhouses, and an array of retails stores.
Hussain Sajwani recently made news headlines when he was interviewed at the World Economic Forum in 2018 by CNBC hosts Steve Sedgwick, Hadley Gamble, and Geoff Cutmore. Together with the show hosts, Mr. Sajwani discussed in depth the recent opening of a golf course that was created by DAMAC Properties and partner, the Trump organization. The golf course is being touted as not only the best golf course in all of the entire Middle East but possibly the best golf course in the whole world. It’s certainly one of the most expensive golf theme real estate projects to ever be undertaken, with the aforementioned DAMAC Hills wrapping around the course. One more course is underway and set to open in the near future, so stay tuned.
